Engineering review
What shapes the manufacturing plan.
Useful quotes depend on the functional requirements behind the model. These factors are reviewed before a process is committed.
Length and rigidity
Part proportions, unsupported features, and material behavior influence the turning strategy.
Secondary features
Cross-holes, flats, slots, and other non-turned details are considered during the complete process review.
Repeatability
Low-volume orders are planned so critical setup information can support future runs when requirements remain stable.
RFQ to delivery
A direct, technical workflow.
Common machining examples include 6061 and 7075 aluminum; 1018 and 4140 steel; 303, 304, 316, and 17-4 stainless; and Inconel and Monel alloy families. Material capability is not limited to these examples. The exact grade, condition, stock availability, and suitability are verified for each RFQ.
Machining tolerance: to ±0.0001 in on qualified features, subject to drawing, geometry, material, feature relationship, finish, process, and inspection review. Not a blanket tolerance for every dimension.

Can you produce both turned and milled features?+
Parts with rotational geometry and secondary milled features can be reviewed as complete components. The manufacturing plan depends on geometry and required feature relationships.
Can you recreate a worn shaft or bushing?+
Potentially. A drawing, CAD model, or suitable physical sample can be reviewed, but the original design intent and wear condition must be considered before dimensions are finalized.
Can I request a small production run?+
Yes. Stratum focuses on prototypes and low-volume requirements where technical review, responsiveness, and repeatability matter.
